Around June 29–30, the Moon has another close approach with Mars. Find the two above the western horizon just after sunset. But you have to be quick, the Waxing Crescent Moon and Mars will set a couple of hours later in the Northern Hemisphere—see New York, USA and London, UK. In Sydney, Australia, they set around four hours after sunset.
Also, the Moon will have a new visitor in June: HAKUTO-R Mission 2 is scheduled to land in Mare Frigoris, the Sea of Cold, around June 6.

June’s Full Moon is known as the Strawberry Moon, named after the wild strawberries that ripen this month. Other Native American names are Berries Ripen Moon, Green Corn Moon, and Hot Moon.
The Celtic and Old English names are Horse Moon, Dyan Moon, Flower Moon, Rose Moon, and Planting Moon. The Anglo-Saxons called it Mead Moon because this was the time for mowing the meads or meadows.
