On Eid al-Adha, Muslims demonstrate their obedience to Allah by sacrificing an animal. The holiday is inspired by a story from the Quran that is also known to Christians and Jews.

Is Feast of the Sacrifice a Public Holiday?

Feast of the Sacrifice is an optional holiday. Employment and holiday laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina allow employees to choose a limited number of holidays from a list of optional holidays. Some employees may choose to take the day off on this day, however, most offices and businesses remain open.
